Managing Director (flexible location with some days in London)

Talent Focus Executive Search has been retained to recruit a Managing Director for Humanitas Global Logistics ( Launched in early 2020, the company started with one aim, the continuous delivery of reliable and creative healthcare products, using advanced technologies from all over the world. Humanitas Global Logistics specialise in the Medical Supplies (PPE) & HealthTech Industries and with 30 years of experience they have launched a new company that has already proven to be a huge success. They are working with some of the world’s largest non-profit and intergovernmental organisations, focusing on the fulfilment of multi-billion purchase orders and building strong and lasting relationships with their clients.

An experienced Managing Director is required to control and oversee all business operations, people, and ventures, leading to the overall success of the business. The ideal candidate will be a strategist and a leader, be able to steer the company in the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission, and both short-term & long-term goals.

Managing Director Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
  • Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top, down in the company and that they are followed, at all times
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of executives; providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Read all submitted reports by other managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
  • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthens its profile
Managing Director Requirements:
  • Proven experience as Managing Director within a Start-Up environment and/or Logistics background
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
This opportunity attracts a significant six-figure package and as Humanitas Global Logistics is a 100% remote/home-based company the Managing Director can be based anywhere in the UK although future meetings in London are anticipated.
