Sustainable Finance Sales Specialist (London)

Our client, a global financial services institution, is seeking a Sustainable Finance Sales profession to join their team in London. 6-figure package on offer for the successful candidate.

Job Purpose
The Sustainable Finance Sales Specialist will work independently and with the sales organization to prospect new leads and assist with qualifying incoming leads . The specialist will need to gather and understand client requirements, demo Sustainable Finance related products, help cross-divisional teams prioritize the product strategy and work with the sales team on commercials. This is a quota bearing role and the ideal candidate will view this role as a member of the sales force, not only a sales specialist.

Responsibilities
• Assist the sales team on all opportunities related to Sustainable Finance product offerings
• Perform warm calls to existing clients as well as cold calls to prospects
• Develop and nurture client relationships as well as internal relationships
• Monitor, update, and report the Sustainable Finance sales pipeline to management
• Work with the sales teams throughout the various stages of the sales lifecycle, including but may not be limited to:
• Match client requirements to product(s)
• Help build sales plans and conduct whitespace analysis to help grow the sales pipeline
• Identify key drivers for potential sales (e.g. investment strategy, regulation, internal processes)
• Gather client requirements to help prioritize the product strategy and roadmap
• Demo Sustainable Finance related products to prospects and clients
• Collaborate with the sales, business development and Sustainable Finance teams on commercials and deal negotiations
• Work closely with business development and product management teams as part of the sales cycle
• Qualify an opportunity, define the client use case and formulate a proposed solution 
• Ability to forecast and manage 30, 60, and 90 day pipelines
• Assist in the proposal pricing process
• Review pricing feedback, define options
• Additionally, the specialist may be asked to coordinate and facilitate client due diligence meetings.

Knowledge and Experience
• Experience in sales and/or product management function
• Prior experience in an ESG related role preferred
• Familiarity with Global ESG frameworks and taxonomies, such as SASB, GRI, TCFD,SFDR etc..
• Extensive experience presenting to clients
• Ability to effectively communicate with the front office (credit or research analysts, and portfolio managers), middle office (risk), and back office within the buy side, sell side, wealth managers, asset managers, and broker dealers.
• Experienced negotiation skills and effective in closing deals
• Proficient with SalesForce, Tableau and Excel
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
