Head of Sales and Marketing (Aberdeen)
Talent Focus Executive Search has been retained by a leading technical and learning & development training business to recruit a high calibre Head of Sales and Marketing, based in Aberdeen. This is a key role as the company continues to expand its blended training solutions to an increasingly varied client base.
Reporting to the Managing Director, your key responsibilities will be:
• Lead and manage the sales workforce, prioritising and focusing their short and long term goals.
• Identify new opportunities to sell ever expanding offerings to local, national and global customers.
• Develop long term positive relationships with new and existing clients.
• From market feedback, input into the product development process to ensure solutions remains relevant and commercial.
• Act as the face the company, embodying its Core Values and principles in how it undertakes business.
We are looking for an experienced Sales professional from within the Oil & Gas Sector with an established cliental of customers within the sector. You will be highly knowledgeable of the industry in general, local businesses within Aberdeen and potential opportunities to grow the business in the fields of maritime, wind and crane training. Additionally, you will oversee the local marketing approach, conforming to global standards.
The successful applicant will have significant experience in a similar role and be able to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and written. Product knowledge is not critical as training will be given but an understanding of where these products can be sold, and thus an established Oil & Gas network, is essential.
As an individual, you will be outgoing and enthusiastic with a robust character. You will be able to deal with ambiguity and be a driven self-starter. Naturally you will be accountable and target orientated, but also able to work independently whilst still being able to fit within a small team working together to achieve success. A commercial focus, negotiating skills and a customer centric view with a priority to quality customer service is also important
