Job Details:
As part of a multi-disciplinary Senior Management Team and reporting directly to the Finance Director the Head of Finance will provide strategic operational leadership to ensure financial and operational objectives are met. The Head of Finance will also deputise for the Finance Director as required.
The Head of Finance will be accountable for the Finance team and staff effectiveness through the development and implementation of finance policies, procedures and systems.
Key to the role is the provision of accurate and timely Finance performance reports, function KPI’s, forecasts and budgets. Integral, is the ability to analyse, interpret and report accurate and timely monthly Finance data; update forecasts and plans based on the learning of in month results and develop Finance options that enable the SMT to take forward operational strategies.
The Head of Finance has delegated responsibility for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Regulators, the Inland Revenue and Companies House.

Knowledge Skills & Expertise
The Head of Finance must be a qualified Finance professional with membership of a professional body. They must be able to set direction, make things happen and deliver results for care.  As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Finance is expected to demonstrate the following competencies:

Ideally, applicants will have 3 or more years senior Finance experience, although applications from candidates with less experience who can demonstrate an ability to grow into the role are also encouraged.  Experience of working within a generalist Finance role is essential.
It is an advantage to have experience from working with different organisations across the public and private sectors, in particular the third or voluntary sector.
