We have an exciting new role for a New Business Sales Specialist to join our global Financial Services Data and Analytics client in Edinburgh.
This position is focused on new business development and will be responsible for representing our client’s products and solutions. 

While working in a fast-paced / entrepreneurial environment, you will proactively search for leads and generate sales to promote our client in Scotland.
The role of New Business Sales drives a high velocity of acquiring new business and profitable end-to-end deals that span propositions and workflows.
Role Responsibilities
  • Manages, retains and grows revenue, responsible for new business development and new sales
  • Establishes strong, long-term customer relationships and cultivate new business opportunities
  • Continues to maintain relationships with key decision makers
  • Collaborates with account team and/or other business units where required and has oversight of all account activities
  • Responsible for forecasting, keeps management in touch with business development activities in a timely fashion, gathers intelligence on competitor activity, and gives feedback to other internal stakeholders
  • Acts as point of contact for customers and attends to customer issues promptly as appropriate
  • Tracks customer activity in internal systems in order to execute on account strategy and identify additional opportunities
  • Maintains up to date product knowledge on all products and solutions
  • Demonstrates skills in managing and handling sales across accounts and understanding the company’s product offering
  • Drives overall customer satisfaction for assigned accounts ?
  • Drive all new customer acquisition
  • Deliver growth in current customers through incremental sales of all products and services
  • Ability to manage significant deal volume and grow pipeline
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, including for targeting prioritized opportunities 
  • Respond to inbound lead generation, and leverages social selling techniques for outbound generation
  • Leverage knowledge of industry to establish credibility with current and prospective customers
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform management's strategic decision-making, and to reflect appropriate management of the territory and sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Proposition Sales, and internal stakeholders to win deals
  • Hand-over accounts to Account Management for nurture post-sales
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Proven new business sales experience, with a consistent track record of selling into financial services industry
  • Prior work experience and in depth knowledge in relevant specialization
  • Structured methodical and hands-on approach to managing their business
  • Strong, communication skills with a 'flexible professional attitude'
  • Comfortable communicating at all levels in an organization
  • Ability to interact with customers in a consultative, face-to-face selling environment in a way that builds value for the customer and facilitates opportunities for future sales
  • Displays a deep understanding of our customers, applies knowledge of business and market dynamics to provide value-add solutions and services
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and expanding product sales environment
  • Strategic thinking skills; demonstrated ability to plan and execute sales strategies
  • Able to travel to customer locations
